Green Ace Hardware has been in operation since 1877 (or so) through many generations. The original principals that existed throughout the years remain unchanged. Provide customers exceptional service and a fair price, and they will return. While I understand sometime service can falter, the commitment to excellence at Green Ace remains unchanged.
The Manager is the up most complete dick that I've heard of. My mom went in there to get a tank refill and she got accused of yelling at his employees and so on and so forth. My dad constantly shopped there and because of the way my mom was treated he said they will never have business again. My mom literally came out to the truck in tears because of him.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Small engine repair, like mowers, weed whips, etc. Parts for lawn equipment. Decent tool selection except power tools. Overall easier to go to than Home Depot if you need nuts & bolts type stuff, paint, etc.
Small town hardware attitude backed by a national chain. Stihl dealer with parts and accessories as well as chainsaw and small engine repair. Well laid out store with a fair selection of merchandise. (Although it looks like they are phasing out their small sporting goods section. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Overall Green Ace is ready to take on the second 150 years of business as it did the first 150. Keep us in mind for your next project. We’d love to help you in any way we can.
Shopping local is critical to life in our small communities. Someone is always willing to sell something for cheaper – but in the end, is it really. We pride ourselves on hiring local people, and using profit to continue to support local organizations. Is $100 from Green Ace equal to $100 from a big box? Absolutely not! As a percentage of sales, we are pleased to donate a significant portion to as many local causes as we can.
Took a stihl chainsaw there to get fixed ,twice in the past couple of years and Ithey never did fix it ,yet charged me .ran great when they got it all warmed up ,but is soon as you let it sit at home and try to start it the next day nothing .what a waste of money.I would not recommend this place for any mechanical work.
